London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
The Distance Education department provides administrative and student support for the School's Distance Learning courses (MSc and Diploma). Courses are offered in Clinical Trials, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases and in Public Health. The Distance Learning Programme was established in 1998, and there are currently over 2,500 students registered in 140 countries.

The original process included the manual creation of course spreadsheets containing student information, exam registrations and previous year’s exam results from diverse data sources. We were asked to automate as many of the manual data manipulation steps as possible.
